This webpage concerns the Polish edition of Tech Leaders.
Hi! During last few days we got a lot of emails with questions from you. We gathered them all and answer them in this post. If you have any other questions, you can ask us using the contact form. We are going to update this post to include the most occuring questions.
1. How can I apply for the program?
You can apply via application form that you can find on our website: www.techleaders.eu. This is the only way of applying - we don't accept applications via emails, Facebook or any other way.
2. Do I have to live in Cracow to take part in the program?
No. Tech Leaders is mostly online-based. Mentoring sessions are usually held via Skype/Hangout, or phone, but their form is up to you. If you and you mentor live in the same city, you can even meet live, however this form is not imposed. We plan to organize events in Cracow to celebrate the beginning and the finish of the program (as it took place in the previous two editions), but the presence is not compulsory.
3. I have my eye on a few mentors. How should I choose the right one?
Consider what you want to achieve during these 4 months, and which of the mentors will be able to help you most (mentors’ BIOs are available on our website). 4 months is both a long, and a short period of time, so you need to make the most of it.
4. What should I write in my application to increase my chances?
Show us that you know, what you're doing. Have you got any previous experience, courses, first steps? Definitely write about it. Do you want to work on a specific project? Do you have any goal that you seek to? It's worth mentioning it in you application. You don't have to have broad knowledge from the beginning, just show us that you're motivated and willing to draw what's the best from this program.
5. Do I have to speak Polish/live in Poland to be eligible for this program?
No, there is no such rule. However, you have to realize that not all mentors can help you in different languages. You should check mentors' BIOs on our website, and if you're still not sure, send us a message.
6. Can I pick up more than one mentor in my application?
No. You can apply only for one mentor.
7. Do I have to work in IT to be eligible for this program?
No. As you've probably seen, we cooperate with many mentors - not only from the IT field, but also sales or business. If after reading through mentors' BIOs you think that any of them can help you, this program is for you.
8. I have already submitted my application, but would like to change it now.
Is there any possibility to do that?
No. You can send only one application, so think carefully about what you'd like to write in it :)
