This webpage concerns the Polish edition of Tech Leaders.
The personal data are processed in accordance with the applicable provisions on the personal data protection and the GDPR. Each edition of Tech Leaders meets the restrictions on personal data protection based on GDPR or the law of the country where it is being organized.
To find out more about the protection of personal data, contact the organizer of your local edition of Tech Leaders. Tech leaders editions organized in various countries are absolutely independent and the organizers of local Tech Leaders editions do not share your personal data with each other.
1. Personal Data Controller
The controller of personal data of Tech Leaders and Mentors Program Participants is the Organizer of Tech Leaders, i.e. Ewelina Wołoszyn conducting business activity under the company LONSLEY Ewelina Wołoszyn on the basis of an entry in the Central Register and Information on Business Activity, address: Gaj 21, 97-570, Przedbórz, NIP: 7722317313, Statistical number [REGON]: 364887366 (hereinafter: “Coordinator”).

2. Data Processing Method
The purpose and scope of the processed personal data of Tech Leaders Participants defines the scope of consents and completed data sent by means of an appropriate form or by e-mail.
Personal data processing:
- of Tech Leaders participants includes their name, phone number, email address, gender, computer IP address, image and data collected by Google Analytics and other data necessary to participate in the Tech Leaders Programme in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- of Tech Leaders Mentors includes their name, phone number, email address, gender, career, computer IP address, image and data collected by Google Analytics and other data necessary to participate in the Tech Leaders Programme in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The nature of participation in the Tech Leaders Programme makes it impossible to process personal data related to participation in the Tech Leaders Programme in an anonymous manner.
Providing personal data is voluntary, but the lack of consent to the processing of personal data marked as obligatory in the form will prevent the participation in the Tech Leaders Programme and the implementation of agreements by the Coordinator.
Personal data of Participants and Mentors will be processed for the following purposes:
- implementation of legal provisions - the legal basis is the statutory authorisation to process data necessary to act in accordance with the law (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR);
- performance of contracts for participation in the Tech Leaders Programme and provision of electronic services through the Tech Leaders Service - the legal basis is the statutory authorisation to process the data subject's data necessary for the performance of the contract, if the data subject is a party to the contract or if it is necessary to take steps prior to concluding the contract at the request of the data subject (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR);
- promotional and commercial activities carried out by the Coordinator- the legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest pursued by the Coordinator (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or voluntary consent of the Participant/Mentor (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR);
- handling complaints and optimisation of Tech Leaders' services - the legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest pursued by the Coordinator (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), which is a professional and high quality activity.
If the Coordinator obtains information about the Participant or Mentor's use of the Tech Leaders Programme contrary to the Regulations or applicable regulations (unauthorized use), the Coordinator may process the Participant's or Mentor's personal data to the extent necessary to determine the scope of his responsibility.
The personal data of Participants and Mentors will be processed for the duration of a given edition of Tech Leaders, and then the time appropriate to prove its execution (this time corresponds to the length of the statute of limitations for claims and tax periods). The personal data processed on the basis of consent will be processed until the consent is withdrawn. After this time, personal data will be deleted, unless their processing is necessary on another legal basis.
The Coordinator may transfer the data of Participants and Mentors to third countries, i.e. outside the European Economic Area: to the United States on the basis of an Executive Decision of the European Commission of 12 July 2016 introducing the so-called Privacy Shield (the data will be transferred only to entities certified under this decision, which obliges them to properly secure my personal data) and to other countries, only on the basis of standard contractual clauses, which will oblige the entities to which the data will go to their proper security.
The Coordinator will also perform profiling, for marketing purposes, market research, improvement of Tech Leaders services, through analysis of the behaviour of Participants and Mentors within Tech Leaders Service, in order to adjust Tech Leaders Service to the preferences of Participants/Mentors. The result of such profiling will be to provide Participants / Mentors with content tailored to their interests or preferences. The Participant/Mentor may at any time object to such profiling by sending an e-mail to: email@example.com
In the case of the Tech Leaders application, the Participant's personal data provided during the application for the Program will be provided to the Mentor in order to enable the Participant to establish the contact necessary for the implementation of the Tech Leaders Program. This applies mutatis mutandis to the Mentor whose data will be provided to the Participant.
Coordinator may entrust the processing of personal data to third parties in order to perform activities necessary for the implementation of the Tech Leaders Programme and in order to provide marketing activities. The recipients of the Participant's and Mentor's data may be: a hosting provider for the Tech Leaders Service and a mailbox, a company providing IT services for the Coordinator, an accounting office, law firms, Tech Leaders Programme’s Partners.
The personal data collected by the Coordinator may also be made available to: relevant state authorities at their request on the basis of relevant provisions of law or to other persons and entities - in cases provided for by law.
Each entity to which the Coordinator entrusts the processing of the Participant's or Mentor's personal data on the basis of the entrustment agreement for the processing of personal data (hereinafter referred to as the "entrustment agreement") guarantees an appropriate level of security and confidentiality of the processing of personal data. The entity processing the Participant's or Mentor's personal data on the basis of the entrustment agreement may process the Participant's or Mentor's personal data through another entity only on the basis of the prior consent of the Coordinator.
5. Rights of the data subject
Each Participant or Mentor shall have the right to: (a) remove the personal data collected about him/her from the Coordinator's system, as well as from the databases of entities with which Coordinator cooperates or cooperated, (b) limit the processing of data, (c) transfer the personal data collected by the Coordinator about the Participant or Mentor, including to receive them in a structured form, (d) request from Coordinator access to their personal data and their correction, (e) object to the processing, (f) withdraw consent to the Coordinator at any time without affecting the compliance with the law of processing, which was done on the basis of consent before its withdrawal; (g) filing a complaint against the Coordinator to the supervisory body (to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection), (h) to obtain a copy of the data or information on the place of release of the data.
6. Other data
Tech Leaders Service may store http queries, so some information may be stored in server log files, including the IP address of the computer from which the query was received, the name of the Participant's station or the Mentor - identification implemented by the http protocol, if possible, date and system time of registration on the Tech Leaders website and inquiries received, number of bytes sent by the server, URL of the website previously visited by the Participant or Mentor, if entered through a link, information about the Participant's or Mentor's browser or information about errors that occurred during the execution of http transactions. Logs can be collected as material for proper administration of Tech Leaders Service. Access to information is available only to persons authorized to administer the IT system. Log files can be analyzed in order to compile traffic statistics on the Tech Leaders website and errors that occur. A summary of such information does not identify the Participant or Mentor.
The Coordinator applies technical and organizational measures ensuring protection of the processed personal data appropriate to the risks and categories of data covered by the protection, and in particular it protects the data against unauthorized access, taking them away by an unauthorized person, processing in violation of the Act and change, loss, damage or destruction, including the use of SSL certificates. The collection of collected personal data of Participants and Mentors is stored on a secure server and the data are also protected by internal procedures of the Coordinator in the scope of personal data processing and information security policy.
The coordinator has also implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as pseudonymisation, designed to effectively implement data protection principles, such as data minimisation, and to give the processing the necessary safeguards to meet the requirements of the OPR and to protect the rights of the data subjects. The Coordinator shall implement all necessary technical measures set out in Articles 25, 30, 32-34, 35-39 of the GDPR ensuring increased protection and security of processing of the Participant's and the Mentor's personal data.
At the same time, the Coordinator points out that the use of the Internet and services provided by electronic means may be threatened with access to the Participant's or Mentor's computer system and malware, as well as unauthorized access to the Participant's or Mentor's data, including personal data, by third parties. In order to minimize these threats, the Participant and the Mentor should use appropriate technical security measures, e.g. with the use of current antivirus programs or programs protecting the Participant's or the Mentor's identification on the Internet. In order to obtain detailed and professional information on the maintenance of security on the Internet, Tech Leaders recommends that they be consulted by entities specializing in this type of IT services.
In order for Tech Leaders Service to function properly, the Coordinator uses the technology of cookies. Cookies are packages of information stored on the Participant's and Mentor's device via Tech Leaders Service, usually containing information consistent with the purpose of a given file, by means of which the Participant and Mentor use the service - these are usually: service address, date of placement, expiry date, unique number and additional information consistent with the purpose of a given file.
Tech Leaders Service uses two types of Cookies: (a) session that are permanently deleted at the end of the Participant's/Mentor's browser session; (b) persistent that remain on the Participant's/Mentor's device after the end of the browser session until they are deleted.
On the basis of both session and persistent cookies, it is not possible to establish the identity of the Participant or the Mentor. The Cookies mechanism does not allow the collection of any personal data. The Website cookies are also safe for the Participant's/Mentor's device, in particular they do not allow viruses or other software to enter the device.
Files used directly by the Coordinator cannot be read by other services (Own Cookies). External cookies (i.e. cookies placed by entities cooperating with Tech Leaders) can be read by an external server.
The Participant/Mentor may change the settings for Cookies at any time by setting the storage conditions, by setting your browser or by configuring the service. First of all, the Participant/Mentor may disable the storage of cookies on its device, in accordance with the instructions of the browser manufacturer, but this may result in the unavailability of some or all of the Tech Leaders Service functions.
The Participant/Mentor can also delete cookies stored on his/her device at any time, according to the instructions of the browser manufacturer.
The Coordinator uses Own Cookies for the following purposes: authentication of a Participant or Mentor on Tech Leaders Service and maintenance of a Participant/Mentor session; configuration of Tech Leaders Service and adjustment of the content of websites to the preferences or behaviour of a Participant/Mentor; analysis and audience research, number of clicks and paths to improve the appearance and organization of content on the website, time spent on the website, number and frequency of visitors to Tech Leaders Service.
Tech Leaders uses External Cookies for the following purposes:
- Google Analytics - purpose of saving: analysis of behaviour of Participants/Mentos in the Service
- Facebook - purpose of saving: promotional and marketing activities
- Google Adwords - purpose of saving: promotional and marketing activities
